Custom Peptide Labeling
Fluorescent, biotin, magnetic-bead, radioactive, and stable-isotope labeling of your peptides.
Veya Peptide synthesizes fluorescently and functionally labeled peptides for imaging, binding, and detection assays. We conjugate a wide range of fluorophores, biotin, and chromophores at the N-terminus, C-terminus, or a specific side chain, then HPLC-purify and mass-verify every conjugate.
Label position matters: an incorrectly placed dye can disrupt binding or quench signal. Our chemists advise on the optimal attachment point and linker for your assay, whether you need a single reporter or a matched FRET donor–acceptor pair.
Fluorescent Labels
We offer the full range of common research fluorophores across the visible and near-IR spectrum:
- Fluorescein family — FITC, 5/6-FAM, and carboxyfluorescein.
- Rhodamine / red dyes — TAMRA, TMR, Rhodamine, and Texas Red.
- Cyanine & near-IR — Cy3, Cy5, Cy5.5, and Cy7 equivalents for deep-tissue imaging.
- Coumarins — AMC/MCA and EDANS for enzyme-substrate work.
Affinity Tags & FRET Pairs
Beyond single fluorophores, we build peptides for pull-down, immobilization, and ratiometric sensing.
- Biotin — with or without an aminohexanoic-acid (Ahx) spacer for streptavidin capture.
- FRET / quencher pairs — EDANS/DABCYL, FAM/TAMRA, and Mca/Dnp for protease and conformational assays.
- Click handles — azide/alkyne functionalization for bio-orthogonal conjugation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should the label go?
It depends on your assay. To preserve a binding motif we place the label away from it (often the opposite terminus) with a short spacer. We advise per project.
Can you make an internally-quenched FRET substrate?
Yes. We routinely synthesize protease substrates with a donor fluorophore and internal quencher (e.g., Mca/Dnp) for continuous kinetic readouts.
Do labeled peptides need special handling?
Store lyophilized, protected from light, at −20 °C. We provide handling and reconstitution guidance with each conjugate.
